Sparky and Engine 17 made an appearance in the Wilmington Holiday Parade.
This week, New Hanover County Fire Rescue conducted driver operator skills training with Burgaw Fire Rescue and Pender County EMS and Fire! The exercise allowed crews to refine their skills and practice moving water for fire emergencies.

Did You Know?
Thanksgiving is the peak day for home cooking fires, with more than three times the daily average for such incidents. Christmas Day and Christmas Eve ranked second and third, having nearly twice the daily average.
Last week during department wide training New Hanover County Fire Rescue staff was recognized for 3 major accomplishments. Becoming a Nationally Accredited agency, obtaining an ISO Class2 rating, and 25 years of service. What an amazing team.

Join our Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician's for a free car seat check event this Friday at the Burlington Coat Factory in Wilmington!
New Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians need your help!!! Please bring your child, car seat, and vehicle to be checked and ensure proper installation.
The car seat check is free on November 4, 2022 from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm at Burlington (Burlington Coat Factory).
