We're incredibly grateful to the New Hanover County ABC Board for its generous $78,000 grant to expand opportunity through Peer Support Specialist and Community Health Worker training and certification.

This investment does more than fund training—it equips participants with valuable, in-demand professional skills that lead to meaningful employment, financial stability, and careers centered on helping others. As certified Peer Support Specialists and Community Health Workers, graduates will use their own lived experiences to guide individuals through recovery, successful reentry, and healthier futures.

The impact reaches far beyond each participant. Every person who earns a certification is empowered to become a trusted mentor, advocate, and source of hope for others facing similar challenges.
