NHC Senior Resource Center along with the Senior Medicare Patrol can provide you with the information you need to protect yourself from Medicare fraud, errors, and abuse and help you detect and report your concerns.

We encourage you to learn more about fraud prevention resources and support available through the Senior Medicare Patrol and during Medicare Fraud Prevention Week.

What an incredible Older Americans Month celebration at the Senior Resource Center! πŸ’™ 🎢

From health programs and educational events to karaoke and cookouts, and community connections, May was filled with opportunities to celebrate wellness and healthy aging.

Join the City for the annual Keys to Homeownership Expo on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the MLK Center, 401 S. 8th St.

Meet with local lenders, real estate agents, home inspectors, and home safety specialists to learn about resources and opportunities available throughout the community.

The event will also feature a free mobile shredding truck on-site to help community members safely dispose of sensitive personal documents and protect against identity theft and fraud.

Accepted items include:

βœ… Credit card offers
βœ… Other documents containing personal or financial information

Please do not bring electronics, batteries, plastic materials, or household trash.

Family caregivers and their loved ones living with dementia enjoyed a wonderful morning of fellowship, and brunch at the beautiful Bluewater Waterfront Grill, and our lovely music was provided by Tara Jenkins, certified music therapist in Music & Memory. 🎢

We are grateful for the meaningful connections and joyful moments shared together!
