Delaware Black Caucus

Delaware Black Caucus The purpose of this organization shall be to remain current on domestic issues
affecting African American communities throughout the State of Delaware.

The Caucus is to inform the National Congressional Black Caucus about such issues, and work together to seek resolution to such issues when appropriate. The Caucus will encourage African Americans who share the same interests and goals, to participate in government. The Caucus shall provide "White Paper" based upon a thorough research, needs assessment and listening session throughout largely populated African-American communities in the state of Delaware.

I'd like to humbly acknowledge Equal Pay Day, the day in which the evident gender wage gap is nationally recognized and addressed.

The salaries of women should without a doubt be equal to their male counterparts. While the General Assembly has taken some steps to rectify wage bias - like prohibiting employers from using salary history to screen applicants and banning wage secrecy - there is still more to be done to end wage inequality.
