The Post 10 Honor Guard presented Colors and a Rifle Salute during the New Hanover County Veterans Council - NHCVC annual Veterans Day program on November 11th at the American Legion & Gold Star Monuments at Long Leaf Park.
The Post 10 Honor Guard was started in 2003 and in 2005 it was reassigned to the United States Volunteers (USV).

To become a member in the Wilmington, NC Honor Guard are you must be a member of American Legion Post 10 and be willing to make the commitment to train for and to serve in the funerals and other events we perform. There are no additional dues involved and a uniform is provided for each member. No prior experience is necessary.
The Wilmington, NC Honor Guard is totally self supported by donations it receives from the families of veterans it serves and from its own fundraising efforts.
To keep the skills of its members at a high level the Honor Guard meets two times each month to practice the procedures used at funerals. The Honor Guard meets the 2nd and last Thursdays at 7 pm at American Legion Post 10.
