TOMORROW’S THE BIG DAY, NHCS!

The first day of school is TOMORROW, and we can’t wait to welcome our students, families and staff back for a brand-new school year!

The excitement is building, so let’s get ready to start strong, show up ready to learn and make Day One count!

Here are a few quick tips to help make tomorrow a great day:

Get some rest. A good night’s sleep will help you start the day refreshed and ready to go.

Pack tonight. Get your backpack, school supplies and anything else you’ll need ready to go before bedtime.

Plan your meals. Will you enjoy breakfast and lunch at school or bring them from home? Make a plan tonight!

Give yourself extra time. Tomorrow morning may bring heavier traffic and unexpected delays, so leave a little early and take your time getting to school safely.

And most importantly, bring your excitement! A new school year means new opportunities to learn, grow, make memories and make a difference.

Tomorrow, we begin! Let’s make it an amazing first day and an incredible year.

We’re ready. Are you? Let’s be 1% Better Every Day together!

¡MAÑANA ES EL GRAN DÍA, NHCS!

ÂĄEl primer dĂ­a de clases es MAÑANA y estamos ansiosos por darles la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal para un nuevo año escolar!

La emoción crece, así que preparémonos para empezar con fuerza, llegar listos para aprender y ¥que el primer día valga la pena!

Aquí les dejamos algunos consejos råpidos para que mañana sea un gran día:

Descansen bien. Una buena noche de sueño les ayudarå a empezar el día con energía y listos para empezar.

Preparen sus cosas esta noche. Preparen su mochila, Ăștiles escolares y todo lo demĂĄs que necesiten antes de acostarse.

Planifiquen sus comidas. ÂżDesayunarĂĄn y almorzarĂĄn en la escuela o los traerĂĄn de casa? ÂĄHagan un plan esta noche!

Dense tiempo extra. Mañana por la mañana puede haber mås tråfico y retrasos inesperados, así que salgan un poco antes y tómense su tiempo para llegar a la escuela de forma segura.

Y lo mås importante: ¥traigan su entusiasmo! Un nuevo año escolar significa nuevas oportunidades para aprender, crecer, crear recuerdos y marcar la diferencia.

¥Mañana empezamos! Hagamos de este un primer día increíble y de este año inolvidable.

How does drop off and pick up work?

Car Riders am: In the morning you will drive up to the front of the school and wait in the car line. Your child may begin walking into the building at the 7:15 am bell. If you arrive prior to 7:15am, please park BEHIND the STOP line in the circle so staff are able to safely go around you to park!

*If your child needs additional time to get out of the car, please follow the car drop off line and pull forward into a parking space!

Students must be in the building by 7:40 am to be counted as present, on time.

Bus Riders am: In the morning, students will walk into the building.

Car Riders pm: Dismissal begins at 2:30pm. In the afternoon, you will wait in line for your child to be called. All parents will be given a placard to place on their car mirror. Car riders exit from designated areas in the building when their name is called. They will then walk out to the car line and wait at the sign for an adult to open the car door.

Bus/Van Riders pm: A teacher will es**rt them to their assigned bus or van.

Walkers pm: Your child will exit through the Multi-Purpose Room and will need to know if they are going right (toward Halyburton Memorial Parkway) or left (toward the back of Ashley High School). If you are waiting to walk with them, you will need to wait at the Anderson school sign on the right or across the parking lot on the left side. No parents are allowed to park in the lot between Ashley High School and Anderson Elementary to pick up their child.

Join the Anderson Elementary PTA tomorrow morning as we give our campus a little extra love before the school year gets underway!

We had so much fun welcoming our newest Anderson Admirals at today’s Kindergarten Play Date!

We moved the fun indoors to beat the heat, where our incoming kindergarteners played, made new friends, and enjoyed popsicles served by our PTA. We’re so excited to welcome our newest Admirals to Anderson and can’t wait for a great school year! âš“ïžđŸ©”
