One of our favorite parts about the Habitat Homeownership Program is the relationship-building between homeowners! Because of the 250-400 Partnership Hours each family completes, Future Homeowners work alongside each other on the job site each month, and have relationships with their neighbors before they move in, like Stephanie and Simone, pictured.

Women Build Part 1 is officially complete! Thanks to Novant Health, Las Amigas, and National Association of Women in Construction for joining us on-site last weekend to work on siding. Stay tuned for information on the second part of Women Build, when we'll be back to paint, install trim and hardware, and landscape the home before Stephanie moves in🏡

Did you know teenagers can join us on the job site? If you're looking to fill your days once school's out, come volunteer with Cape Fear Habitat! At ages 14 and 15, you can help with landscaping, paint, and hardware installation on homes; at 16, join us on the job site (just no ladders or power tools!); and at 18, experience the full construction process. Our experienced Crew Leaders and Regular Volunteers will show you the ropes. We look forward to seeing you!

We celebrated Robert's Housewarming yesterday with his family, along with Habitat staff, Board, and volunteers. Robert was our 2025 CEO Build homeowner, presented by Bank of America. Thank you to each organization that sponsored the build, and to Lynn and Quilters by the Sea for donating artwork and a quilt to the family. Congratulations, Robert and family!
