It’s been a few weeks since the election. I spent the first few weeks with my family and getting my boys settled for the new school year. Last night was a celebration of the hard work our campaign did this past election cycle with others from across the Wilson County Democratic Party and state. We’re still waiting for the final results from our election to do an analysis on.

We have a lot to be proud of. We exceeded our win number by a lot! We knocked over half the houses in our district and had many face to face chats with neighbors. Now the work continues to get State representatives Matt for Wilson County and Lindsey for TN elected in November. Join me in canvassing the next few weekends if interested. Let’s keep working to build a stronger community and state.

Thank you District 1. While I didn’t win the election, you turned out in record numbers. We exceeded all expectations set for the election and I appreciate all the conversations, warmth, and generosity in supporting my campaign and talking to many of you. I wish my opponent the best of health in the next 4 years, so that he may serve all of our neighbors to the best of his abilities. Thank you again neighbors. The work is not over.

This election was decided by ONE VOTE back in 2018. Your vote is critical, and very much appreciated.

There's just 3 DAYS until election day.

Back on December 22nd when I pulled my petition to run for commission, I didn't know what was in store as I hit the campaign trail.

How many wonderful neighbors I would meet, talk to, and shake hands with. The people who were excited to have someone running that actually showed up to talk with them. The people who realized that I, too, want safety for their kids on the streets, for thoughtful growth, and for more transparent government that is easier to understand. The people who are just as invested as I am in making District 1 stronger.

I have knocked and called you all so many times just trying to make sure you get out and vote. I won't be annoying you for too much longer. Just remember - in 3 days, I need your vote.

This election was decided by 1 vote in 2018. Make sure you have a plan to get out and Vote Richie on Thursday August 6th.

What a special day today was. This morning I got to spend time with neighbors and friends. Many of them running for office in other districts and higher offices. I’m thankful to have each of them in my life on this journey.

Then I got to vote for myself and some of those friends!

I’m thankful to my friend and campaign manager for all she’s done for my campaign. It’s been a long journey and I’m thankful to have her on my team.
