🎉 SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL SENIOR CENTER MONTH! 🎉
September is the month set aside by the National Council on Aging (NCOA) to celebrate the incredible impact that senior centers have on the lives of older adults and the communities we call home.

At the Wilson County Senior Activity Center, we believe aging isn’t about slowing down—it’s about living, connecting, growing, engaging, and discovering what’s possible in every season of life!

Throughout the month, we’ll be celebrating the participants, programs, partnerships, and moments that make our senior activity center special. Our center is so much more than a building, it's a place where friendships are formed, lives are enriched, new memories are made, talents are discovered, laughter is shared, and every person is reminded that they still have so much to offer.

Join us the whole month as we celebrate the value of Senior Centers and shine a light on the amazing staff who continue to make a difference in Wilson County and beyond.

Today, we remember the lives lost to overdose and acknowledge the families, friends, and communities who continue to carry that loss. The empty chair represents a family member, friend, co-worker or neighbor whose absence is still deeply felt. Behind every number is a name. Behind every name is a story. Every empty chair is a life that mattered!!!💜

✨ What a Night to Remember! ✨

Our Night of Elegance was truly nothing short of AMAZING! 💙✨

From the moment our guests stepped onto the blue carpet, the evening was filled with elegance, laughter, friendship, celebration, and so much love. We came together not only to dress up and have a wonderful time, but to celebrate the incredible people who make our Senior Activity Center such a special place.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this evening so beautiful—from our amazing staff and volunteers, to our caterer "Yummy Tummy Creations 2 & Beddingfield Culinary Arts Department, Black Diamond Band, DJ Larry, Bo Baines-photographer, participants, families, supporters, presenters, and everyone who helped bring the vision to life. ❤️

That night reminded us that getting older doesn't mean the best is behind us—it means there are still friendships to make, memories to create, dreams to pursue, and reasons to celebrate.

Until the next Night of Elegance… keep shining, keep thriving, and keep showing the world that your best days can still be ahead! ✨🥂🏆
