DRUGS!!! ALCOHOL!!! ADDICTION!!! OVERDOSES!!! DEATH!!! RECOVERY!!! HOPE!!! EDU There is such a stigma with addiction today!!

Most people just want to keep it under wraps, a secret from their family, friends & acquaintances.. They feel shame to be labeled as a “junkie” or those that are associated to someone that is an addict.. That's how we got to where our nation is today!! I firmly believe that the more people know & are educated about addiction.. The more people that are open & help spread the word & awareness.. The

less that people treat the disease of addiction like an incurable STD.. We can hopefully make the addicts feel less shame & more likely to ask for help instead of sinking deeper with the possiblity of succumbing to this deadly disease.. If our nation offered more resources, more affordable or even free outpatient/inpatient programs, extreme regulations on doctors prescribing narcotic pain meds, more informative articles, documentaries, less treating an addict like a criminal & mostly, real life stories!! Stories with good, positive results.. The story of the addict that's still struggling.. And unfortunately, those stories that have ended fatally because with some, it's just inevitable.. Whether you'd like to admit this or not, you are either a user yourself.. Or know someone who is.. You never know how or who your story could inspire or just give them that last little hope & strength to try again..
