A huge thank you to Representative Dante Pittman and Senator Buck Newton for working to provide $440,000 in funding recently approved in the North Carolina State budget for Contentnea Fire Department.

These funds will allow us to pay off our newest apparatus, Tanker 1002, which carries 3,000 gallons of water and can pump more than 1,500 gallons per minute. With this major investment secured, we can now begin focusing on the next apparatus that will benefit our department and community. — HINT: Possibly taking us to new heights!! 🚒🪜

🔥 2nd Annual Retiree & Past Member Breakfast 🔥

Join us on Saturday, April 18 at 8:00 AM as we welcome back the men and women who helped build our department!

This special morning is all about reconnecting—come out and fellowship with current and past members, share stories from years gone by, and see how far we’ve come. We’ll take a look back at over 50 years of service, how we’ve evolved, and where we’re headed next.

Contentnea Fire Department is hosting an emergency blood drive tomorrow from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM, and we urgently need donors.

Blood supplies are critically low, and your donation can help save lives right here in our community. If you are able, please consider stopping by and giving.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our community for the incredible support shown during our annual Christmas Light Display. This year brought record-breaking attendance, and we are truly grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate the season with us. Planning for next year is already underway, and we can’t wait to make it even bigger and better!

A very special thank you to our volunteers—your countless hours, dedication, and hard work are what make this event possible. As a reminder, our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner is this Friday night at 6:30 PM. We look forward to celebrating YOU.
