🌟 Intern Spotlight: Jason Elias-Sanchez 🌟

This summer, Jason has been making a difference at the Wilson County Substance Prevention Coalition, working to break down the stigma around mental health in the Latinx community and connect residents with the resources they need.

Jason is one of many students taking part in Interns for Impact, a paid summer internship program that connects local college students with meaningful hands-on experience at nonprofits in the community.

"I've learned the good, the bad, and the ugly of the nonprofit world, and I'm loving every bit of it," Jason shared. "My research project has given me the chance to help make it easier for people to seek help when they're ready."

Thank you, Jason, for your dedication to serving Wilson County!

Huge shoutout to Barton College!

Recently the WCSPC, Wilson County Health Department, and Wilson County Emergency Medical Services were able to go to their campus and train their RA's on how to reverse an opioid overdose using nasal Naloxone (and gave them each naloxone kits), hands only CPR, and an AED training!

We appreciate your support and applaud your taking initiative and doing what you can to !

If you would like to be trained on how to administer Naloxone to reverse an opioid overdose, DM us or give us a call at 252-991-7267 and we will set up a time!
