A successful hand-to-eye count has been completed.
Following each election, the State Board of Elections randomly selects two precincts in each county for manual counting and verification of specific seats. This year, Precinct Toisnot and Precinct D, the Rec. Center, were chosen, and the U.S. Senate seat was among those counted for both Democratic and Republican parties.
Appreciation is extended to the bipartisan team that dedicated their time this morning. Acknowledging their efforts, gratitude seems insufficient. Wilson County is fortunate to have such a dedicated team in all endeavors.
One of the late Bishop J.N. Perry sayings was, “If you done it, you ain’t bragging!

Our poll workers attended their final training session for the Municipal Election on Monday evening. We are fortunate to have dedicated and enthusiastic poll workers who consistently strive to provide exceptional service to Wilson County voters. If you encounter them while casting your ballot, please extend a kind word and express your appreciation for their efforts. As a gesture of gratitude, I presented each poll worker who attended the training session with an "Election Survival Kit" and a certificate.
It is often said that people are more concerned with the level of care you demonstrate than the extent of your knowledge. With that in mind, we appreciate every poll worker.
