Wilsonville Wrapped, a collaboration with the City's Arts, Culture, & Heritage Commission, will transform up to seven blank utility cabinets around the City into vibrant, artist-designed canvases with a vinyl wrap.

Utility box art programs beautify public spaces, give local artists visibility, build community pride, and mitigate graffiti tagging.

Interested artists must respond to the Call for Artists by Oct. 21. The theme for submissions is "Celebrating the Arts & Creativity.” All artists whose work is selected to participate in this Public Art Project will receive a $500 stipend.

πŸ“šπŸš² Ready for a storybook adventure on two wheels?

The Reading & Riding Community Bike Ride is Saturday, Aug. 29. This fun, family-friendly ride is led by SMART Transit and the Book Bike!

Meet at the Wilsonville Transit Center at 10 am to connect with fellow riders and learn how to safely load a bike onto a SMART bus. At 10:30, we'll roll out together for a leisurely ride to the Wilsonville Public Library.

Along the way, we'll visit Little Free Libraries and other literary gems before arriving at the library to explore all it has to offer.

Don't have a bike? A limited number of loaner bikes may be available. Contact [email protected].

Just a heads up if water comes out of your tap looking a little cloudy this evening, it's because a public works project required flushing water lines.

A change in water pressure can form tiny "microbubbles." These bubbles scatter light, which makes the water look opaque or milky for a minute or two. It is completely harmless.

To verify it is just air, fill a clear glass and let it sit for two minutes. Harmless air bubbles will naturally rise and dissipate from the bottom of the glass upward, leaving the water crystal clear.
