"This week in practicum, I worked on getting some spreads made and the layout for the yearbook, and helped edit some photos too. I also started working on a presentation for the yearbook conference we will be attending soon. We also had a meeting with our yearbook advisors where we discussed different ways to make this year’s yearbook the best we can and make it something everyone will enjoy." - H. Wakem

Congratulations to Wimberley High School math teacher (and Danforth JH girls coach) Traci Hightower, who was selected as the WISD August Texan of the Month!

Coach Hightower was praised for her spreadsheet-wizardry in helping to coordinate the massive TexFest volleyball tournament in August and for exemplifying service as a team player. Another nomination spoke to Coach Hightower's teaching skills: "Watching an effective teacher at work as a brand new teacher is very inspiring. She builds on an already established foundation while not becoming complacent in the work to be done." Way to go Coach Hightower!
