REOPENING 05/02

You’ll never catch us complaining about rain… but… a closure stings a little more on the very first day of the swim season. 💔 We are closing swimming today 05/01 (including Wimberley Nights) due to some minor flooding. All reservations will be fully refunded. Imagine how great the creek will look after this rain though 😍

DRUMROLL PLEASE.... We are so thrilled to announce our lineup for the 2026 Friends of Wimberley Parks concerts in the Parks Series! Come on down to the swim lawn at Blue Hole Regional Park for a lineup full of Wimberley artists, local vendors, and a perfect way to start your weekends in April. Grab a camp chair, some brews from Roughhouse Brewing, ice cream from Monster Treats, and a hot dog from Schoolyard Dogs for this free concert series from 6 PM - 8 PM every Friday in April.

We can't wait to see you there!

Swim season is right around the corner at Blue Hole Regional Park!

Swim Half Day Passes and Wimberley Resident Season Passes go on sale March 1st at 10:00 a.m. Non-Resident Season Passes will be available starting April 1st at 10 a.m.

Swimming officially begins May 1st, but we encourage you to secure your passes and start booking your swim times early.

Fall is on the horizon, and with it comes the return of one of our favorite Wimberley traditions—Wednesday Workdays with Wimberley Parks & Recreation! Every Wednesday 8 - 10 a.m. from October through April, our volunteer workgroup gathers to take on projects big and small—whether that’s mending trails, planting native species, collecting seeds, removing invasive plants, or simply sprucing up the spaces we all enjoy. Simply email Bryce at [email protected] to get added to the weekly email list with updates on upcoming projects. Tell your friends, and we'll see you October 1st @ 8 a.m. 🤠

UPDATE 09/03 - Swim Lawn is back open. Swimming only allowed on weekends in September.

We regret to share that all swimming reservations at Blue Hole have been cancelled through Labor Day (09/01). A severe storm struck the park this afternoon, leaving behind significant damage. Large trees are down, heavy branches are hanging dangerously, and conditions are simply not safe for visitors.

This is one of our busiest weekends of the year, which makes this decision especially difficult. Please know we would not close unless it was absolutely necessary for your safety.

The park will remain closed until further notice while we work to clean up. All reservations will be fully refunded in the coming days. We are truly sorry for this disappointment and appreciate your understanding.

A large leak has been identified at Blue Hole. All restroom facilities are closed until further notice. Wimberley Nights will be canceled today (8/27). We will hopefully resume normal operations tomorrow. For questions about day passes, please call (512)660-9111 or email [email protected].
