King Feed Fall Workshops 2013
Home Food Production, Preservation and Sustainability
Plant / Nurture / Harvest / Eat

A sustainable food solution for every community has to begin with education. The thing is, we don’t have to invent anything new, we just have to relearn existing knowledge and renew old habits that we have let slip away. How and where we get the food we eat is the key to sustainable foods. The more of us who can get a “hands on” relationship with what we eat, the less hold the “industrial food complex” will have on us.

This fall we will offer a series of workshops on the production, harvesting and preserving of food at home. Whether or not you grow it yourself or buy it from the farm, preserving food at the peak of freshness is the best path to healthiness and tastiness.

• Seven / 2-4 hour sessions
• September 7 – November 30
• Participation limited to 20 per Workshop
• $10 suggested donation per Workshop
• $50 Fall Workshop Pass (available through the end of September)
