This morning at approximately 7:15 am, a staff member received an email from an unknown name making threats upon the school. This email was sent to schools all over Indiana, Florida, and South Carolina. In an abundance of caution, our SRO quickly contacted both town, county, and Indiana state police officers who are also on school grounds this morning observing arrivals. We have been in contact with other districts in northern Indiana about the validity of this and while we believe this is a hoax, the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority and this situation has our full attention.

Update: The police pursuit incident has ended. All students and staff are safe, and dismissal will be at the normal times today. EPES will dismiss at 2:15, and WCMS/WCHS will dismiss at 2:30.

Due to a police pursuit coming towards the town of Winamac, EPCSC has initiated a Secure Status. This means that any students who were outside have been brought into the buildings and outer doors are being double checked to ensure they are locked. Classes will continue as normal without interruption. We will have personnel observing the perimeter of the school grounds.
