I have decided not to return to GNS next year. There are several things that have led me to this decision. But first and foremost, I have to say that this, by far, has been a true pleasure and the best job I've ever had. I would like to thank all the families that have entrusted their children to GNS and to myself as their teacher. I have enjoyed watching the children learn, mature and grow in confidence over the years. I truly love each child I have had the pleasure to teach. I really felt like they were my bonus grandchildren ☺️ I will miss all the hug-times and the random "I love you, Ms Tammy"'s Like I said at this year's graduation to my students, "Thank you for all you do!!" ❤️

Both classes got together at the Star City Park for an end of year picnic!! We couldn't have asked for better weather ☀️ Out of 19 kids, we had 17 attend plus their siblings and parents! I can't even begin to count how many pop ices the kids went through! I think I spent half the time cutting the ends off pop ices!! 😂 I loved hearing all the laughter & giggles!! I thought I took more pictures but at least I got some good ones! Sorry if I didnt capture every child! Some of the kids spent almost the entire time on the merry-go-round 🤢 Thank goodness for the parents & grandparents because this old lady cringed every time the little ones went up that huge slide😬😵‍💫 and it definitely would've been off limits if their adult wasn't there!!
What a special fun-filled day!! Enjoy your summer

Graduation 2026 is in the books!!
Congratulations to all our graduates! They did a great job tonight at their ceremony and I'm so proud of them all! They have all grown so much over this school year. I got a little emotional tonight and forgot a few Thank You's though.
I'd like to say thank you to Pepper Hendryx for all the goodies she gave us this year, markers, our favorite crayons, back drops, graduation sashes and certificates! To Josh Stamper & RayeAnn Marie for the generous donation, Al Breyfogle for always supporting GNS, Tom (Tammy Capper Halleck) for all the donuts when dropping off Callie (we loved when grandpa had drop off duty) to Pulaski County Human Services ( Jacki Frain ) for the best bus drivers, Winamac Fire Department for our tours, and to all the community members who so generously fulfilled our Amazon Wish List at the beginning of the year. THANK YOU ALL❤️❤️

GNS was blessed with 2 amazing bus drivers this year from Pulaski County Human Services!! Char was their main driver and played the girls favorite tunes! As an awesome surprise the drivers gifted each child with candy (their favorite thing) and a colorful pinwheel 🥰🥰🥰🥰 The girls gave Char a couple flowers they made in class 🌸🌼
What a thoughtful gift and a memorable last bus ride for our students 🩷💜

Thursday was the last Show and Tell for both classes.

Today was a kids choose what to do day!! They started by playing with playdoh, then played outside, had ice pops, and finished with play time!!
This class of kids play so well together as a group! They play Zombies, Evil Spiders, bus riders, and other made up games as a group and we love watching them interact with each other! Definitely some BFF's were made this year! (Best Friends Forever) ❤️😊😊❤️
