Please share to help us spread the word. The Little Red Schoolhouse will have its final Open House of the season, on Sunday, September 7th, from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM. This will be the last chance until spring to experience this little historic monument to public education. Everyone is welcome. Stop by and see us. We're located at the corner of Platt Hill Road and Taylor Brook Road in Wi******er Center, Connecticut.

Visit an 1800s Schoolhouse where grades one through eight were taught together in the same room by a single teacher. We're excited to be part of the Wi******er Grange Fair and Flea Market. The Little Red Schoolhouse will have an Open House this Sunday, July 6th, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. We're located at the corner of Platt Hill Road and Taylor Brook Road in Wi******er Center, Connecticut.

Experience what school was like in the 1800s. One room schoolhouses where grades one through eight were taught together in the same room by a single teacher were common in the 19th and early 20th century.

Check out this old clipping about the Little Red Schoolhouse from the July 13, 1916 edition of the Bridgeport Evening Farmer. It must've been quite the affair with a dinner from the members of Wi******er Grange, and a program by then town historian Elliott Bronson.
