Fitting, the City of Wi******er VA - Local Government treats their fire and rescue staff like garbage. So now, at least they are acknowledging this by showing off their employees on the sides of trash trucks. Did you know, the City cares more about your garbage being cleaned up than they do about your safety? That's right. The City ensures that every trash truck has at least 3 people on it at all times. While the firefighters are only at 2 on every unit. Only a few months ago, they were still driver only. Wouldn't you think, your life safety, your home, your loved ones health and safety would be more important than your Thursday trash?

I got to meet and talk with Dan Hoffman the new City Manager on Friday. I have to say I like him and I think he is sincere about bringing City Hall and the "first responders" closer together. Everyone will have to give and take, but Dan Hoffman seems like the type of leader where his door is always open. I hope everyone will welcome Dan Hoffman and be open to working with him, not against him. He's not an Eden Freeman type. You have to give him credit. It takes a special person to want to come to Wi******er and take on the remains of what he has been dealt.

Welcome Dan Hoffman!!! Do us proud.

This is sad. It's not about party, its about the people and the issues.

Ms. Bostick is full force behind the firefighters, she stands up for what she believes is best, not only for herself but her community. She's not so arrogant to assume that she has all the answers. She talks with people, she asks questions, she genuinely cares about what is best for the people of her community. She will make an excellent Mayor of Wi******er.

It's poor politics when an opposing side uses tactics and attacks such as intimidation, slander and insults to sway those of influence or just any voter in general. Its poor politics when the candidate of the side who commits these attacks does not come out and denounce them.

John David Smith for Mayor. We are calling on you to denounce these actions and make a public statement on the matter. Or maybe, apologize for possibly your own actions? Who knows. But either way, this at the very least, this deserves an apology to the citizen who was attacked in this manner and also to Danielle Bostick for Mayor. Let's have a fair match here. If you can't win on your own merit the you shouldn't even be running in the first place.

Mayor Smith, we will be watching even closer now. You have failed to support your firefighters and you are failing to support your citizens. These actions can not continue and must be condemed, no matter who or what side is committing them.

We are the Rough Riders, we are not affiliated with any political party, nor are we affiliated with any candidate. We are simply observers and a voice. We care specifically for Fire and Rescue Responders and the Citizens whom they serve. Stay safe brothers and sisters of the Local 3401 Rough Riders.

Again, here is why John David Smith for Mayor is the stealthy mayor. Not because he is quick, but because (according to his door hangers) he can stop by your house without being seen. Or maybe just uses false information to his favor? Using others to canvas in his place.... but hey! "The Mayor stopped by"

The head of the democratic committee, thinks that voter suppression/fraud is funny. This is sad. Once again, one party likes to play dirty tricks rather than playing fairly and winning on their own merit. Its time to rethink your career choice when you have to stoop to this level.

Again we are not attached to any party, and we will go after both sides when the information leads us. This entire election is about the people! The sooner these politicians understand that, the better off we will all be!

Wi******er-Frederick County Democratic Committee please, do better. This is childish, even as a joke.
