IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are an Ohio Valley Gas Customer and your residence or business has incurred damage from the recent flooding, please ENSURE YOU CONTACT INDIANA 811 AND THEN OHIO VALLEY GAS BEFORE you begin demolition or construction.

This is a critical step to ensure the safety of you and everyone around you. Even if you believe your service is inactive, it's important to notify Ohio Valley Gas ahead of time to make certain.

In the wake of the devastating floods that have impacted so many of our communities, OVG wants to help support relief efforts. So, from now through the end of August, we'll be collecting flood relief donations at each of our locations across the state and distributing them to the communities most in need. Drop off cleaning supplies, storage totes, non-perishable food items and/or hygiene items Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm local time. IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE: Due to the ongoing rain and flooding in our service areas, please expect OVG/Fountaintown crews to be surveying our system regularly throughout the night tonight. We are committed to prioritizing the safety of our customers and communities. If we deem it necessary to turn a gas service off to maintain safety, we will do so. We will do our best to minimize disruption, but safety will always come first. Thank you for your understanding.

We were honored to present Donna Nance of the Tell City Housing Authority with a check for $1750 in incentives! The Tell City Housing Authority recently replaced several furnaces and water heaters in the government housing they run. They were able to leverage our incentive program to get some return on their investment. We're proud to support our communities and those who help them run!

We know times can get tough. And for many of our customers, times ARE tough. We wanted to share three easy ways to help if you're struggling to pay your gas bill:
1. Enroll in our balanced billing program. Doing this spreads your payments out evenly each month, so there's no surprise bills in the height of the heating season. This can allow you to budget and plan ahead.
2. Ask someone at your local OVG office to help you apply for EAP. EAP provides a one-time annual benefit that can assist you with the cost of home energy and can help if you are disconnected or are about to get disconnected. An EAP benefit will not cover all your annual heating and electric costs, and these benefits are paid directly to the utility vendor to help cover your heating and electric costs. (Note: applications for EAP will reopen Fall 2026).
3. Ask us about our OVG Gas Help Fund. Each local district has funds available to assist customers experiencing financial hardship. In most cases, these funds are administered through a third party in the community. The money in these accounts comes from local donations as well as money donated by Ohio Valley Gas itself.
