***627/Boone Ave Traffic***

The Eastern Bypass was stalled in 2023 by the former judge. But the traffic crisis on 627 did not go away.

Boonesboro Rd and Boone Ave have become more than just a daily frustration — they are a serious public safety issue. Every morning and afternoon, Police, Fire, and EMS face dangerous delays trying to get through gridlocked traffic to respond to emergencies. The Boonesboro Rd/BYPASS intersection is now one of the highest traffic incident areas in the entire state.

In early 2024, Congressman Barr urged me to take action after the bypass was removed from the 6-Year Road Plan. I worked directly with the County Attorney, brought a resolution before Fiscal Court, and got it passed 6-1, opposed only by the judge, to show Frankfort our community desperately needed this project moving again. Soon after, the City passed a similar resolution unanimously 5-0.

Using those resolutions, and with the help of Representative Dotson and Senator Elkins, the Eastern Bypass was added back into the road plan — and this legislative session, $9 MILLION was approved to begin purchasing right of way this fall.

I have worked hard for the citizens of District 2 and all of Clark County to deliver real solutions to this growing problem. We cannot afford to let this project get stalled again.

Please vote to re-elect Ernest Pasley for Magistrate District 2.

My opponent will say anything to get elected.

In 1986, Clark County passed an ordinance requiring businesses to pay a net profit tax. For decades, some large businesses exploited vague wording in that ordinance to avoid paying — while others paid their fair share for nearly 40 years.

The court made it clear the ordinance had to be amended (3 words) so EVERY business pays equally under the law. Because of that correction, projected revenue for 2027 is expected to increase from roughly $900,000 to nearly $2.5 MILLION.

That is NOT a tax increase.

That is making wealthy “good ole boys” finally pay what everyone else already has.

My opponent has spent the last 18 months attacking me on Facebook while I’ve spent the last 3 1/2 years serving District 2 and delivering results.

Let me say this clearly again:
I WILL NOT RAISE YOUR TAXES.

There are leaders who know how to make government work for ALL people — and there are politicians who only know how to criticize.

As Teddy Roosevelt said:
“Nothing easier in life than criticizing, nothing harder in life than leading.”

***Additional Paving***

One month into my term, a major rain event devastated Dry Fork Creek Rd. It took 75 tons and 3 triaxle loads of patch just to make it passable. It hadn’t been paved since the early 1970s.

Elkin Station Rd was just as bad—decades without paving.

Howards Creek Rd was our most expensive road to maintain—and had never been paved.

I took the initiative, secured funding, and got all three paved.

In year two, we kept going—paving Red River Road and Hollow Rd.

Next up in 2026: Old Ruckerville Rd and Dry Fork Creek Rd.

As a member of the Road Committee, I made sure District 2 is no longer underserved.

District 2 taxpayers deserve results—and I’ll keep delivering.
