Visitors and citizens alike can enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding,

biking, boating, ATVing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and ice fishing in town. Local recreation can be enjoyed at Pisgah State Park, The Ashuelot River, Forest Lake, The Rail Trail and Gardiner Mountain. The Ellen Lambert Murphy Memorial Community Center offers Summer Programs and Schedule of Events throughout the year. You will find a candle pin bowling alley, dog park, playground, basketball court, disc golf course and baseball fields on the premises. The main building has rentable space with a full kitchen and ample space to enjoy activities no matter how big your gathering may be. During the summer our Farmers Market and Music in the Park Program can be found in the park on Main Street. Wi******er Speedpark Motorcross & Supercross Series, Home Track for the New England Motorcross Series and Monadnock Speedway draw racing enthusiasts from all over. Both locations are within 6 miles from the center of Town. On the 3rd Saturday in September Wi******er’s Annual Pickle Festival can be found on Main Street. We will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Pickle Festival in the fall of 2023. The history and vendor information of this event can be found on their website: winchesternhpicklefestival.org. Presently, Wi******er offers Lodging, Dining and Shopping including convenience stores for your traveling needs.
