************************Clarification Post*****************************
The purpose of this post is to correct some misinformation that has been spread about Wi******er Patrolman Trenton Garner. On August 29, 2026 the Cedartown, Georgia Police Department were assisting the Polk County Georgia Police Department search for a missing child. During their search, a Cedartown officer shot and killed a miniature donkey. It was determined the Cedartown officer involved in the shooting was an officer Trenton Garner. Their incident is under investigation by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
Wi******er Patrolman Trenton Garner was not involved in the shooting and has not been employed by the Cedartown Georgia Police Department. The "mix up" of Cedartown Georgia's officer Trenton Garner and the Wi******er Police Department's Patrolman Trenton Garner has resulted in death threats being made to Wi******er Patrolman Garner, his wife, and 4 month old child(pictured below).
Any inquiries about the Polk County Georgia incident can be made to the Cedartown Georgia Police Department at 770-748-4123 or to the investigating agency, the Georgia Department of Agriculture Law Enforcement Division.
