Check website for current hours. The PCHH is owned and operated by Celebrating Patsy Cline, Inc. The Patsy Cline Historic House is open for guided tours for the 2026 Season, now through October 31, 2026. Guided tours of the house are given throughout the day. Tours are walk-in based, no reservation is required. Last guided tour begins at 3:30 PM. Guided tours take approximately 30-45 minutes. If y

What to Expect:

Amenities:
There are currently no restroom facilities at the house. Visitors are invited to visit the Winchester-Frederick County Visitor Center located at 1400 South Pleasant, which is less than 1 mile from the house, for a comfort break. Open 7-days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00pm. Parking:
There is limited parking for cars at the house and there are no reserved parking spots or an adjacent parking lot. As a courtesy to our neighbors, we ask that you DO NOT park on the same side of the street as the Historic House. You may park on the opposite side of the street, or you may park on some of the surrounding streets, and walk to the house. Be mindful that the house is in a residential neighborhood and our neighbors may be resting nearby. Accessibility:
The entrance is handicapped accessible with a hard surface porch even with the public sidewalk and a ramp inside the house for access into the first floor living room. There is limited access into dining room and kitchen depending upon assistive device. Access to the second floor is limited to stairs only. Chairs are available for sitting during the guided tour. You may use the "No Parking Zone" for unloading and loading. Please call ahead for special assistance. Inclement Weather:
For safety reasons, we cannot have more than 20 guests inside the house at any time. When inclement weather occurs, visitors may need to wait inside their vehicle until the next tour begins. Grounds and Backyard:
The grounds and backyard of the Patsy Cline Historic House are closed to the public when the house is not open for tours.

Thanks Washington and Lee-History and Tradition for spotlighting this integral part of Patsy Cline’s musical roots! ❤️🎵💃 During their time in Lexington, the family saved up and bought a used piano for her 8th Birthday! 🎹 Listening these big bands significantly influenced Patsy Cline’s distinctive sound ! 🎙️🎵🎵

Thankfully, this plaque is still in place. Patsy’s father, Sam Hensley, was the head boilerman at W&L from 1937 to 1942, and the family, including Patsy (her real name is Virginia; she was called “Ginny” at the time), lived in a house across Woods Creek from Doremus Gymnasium at W&L..

Patsy was five when the family moved to Lexington. The first professional music she ever heard wafted from the big bands that visited W&L. “For five years,” he writes, “Ginny sat by her bedroom window and heard weekly dance concerts by the world-class jazz orchestras that came on campus to soundtrack fraternity parties.”

It was another blooming 🍏🌸 Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® over the weekend and this year we celebrated the 70th Anniversary of Patsy Cline’s 1956 Apple Blossom Parade Appearance! 🩷💚 This was Patsy’s second appearance in the parade, and she not only appeared in the grand feature parade “as the T.V. personality (the one and only) of the Shenandoah Valley,” 🍏🌸 she also performed at the Ball for Festival Queen, Laura “Mimi” MacArthur, General MacArthur’s daughter 🎙️💃🍏🌸 Patsy Cline Historic House
