Returning to work shouldn't mean the end of a breastfeeding journey. When workplaces provide time, space, and support for expressing milk, families, employees, and employers all benefit.

Creating a breastfeeding-friendly workplace helps:
• Support healthier parents and babies
• Improve employee satisfaction and retention
• Reduce absenteeism
• Foster a culture of wellness and inclusion

Every nursing parent deserves a clean, private space (other than a restroom) and reasonable break time to express milk while at work.

Together, we can build workplaces where families thrive.

💜 Overdose Awareness Day 💜

Today, we remember the lives lost to overdose and honor the families, friends, and communities affected.

Overdose can affect anyone, and every life is worth saving. By raising awareness, reducing stigma, supporting prevention and recovery, and ensuring access to lifesaving resources like naloxone, we can make a difference.

Remember those we have lost. Support those who are struggling. Celebrate those in recovery.

Together, we can create a community of hope, healing, and support.

Health officials have identified potential measles exposures in Richmond and Olive Hill, Kentucky. An unvaccinated, out-of-state traveler visited several establishments in these communities on August 24, August 27, and August 28, 2026.
Measles is a highly contagious respiratory virus that can cause serious health complications, especially in young children. Vaccination is the best protection against measles. Immunization against measles comes through the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine.

If you believe you may have been exposed to measles:
-Check your immunity: Verify if you have received the MMR vaccine or have medical proof of immunity.

-Monitor yourself for symptoms: watch for high fever, cough, runny nose, red, watery eyes, and a rash for 21 days following the exposure.

-Contact your health care provider: Call your doctor or the local health department immediately if you develop symptoms or have questions.
