Every year, our team participates in Ukeru Systems de-escalation training at Grafton Integrated Health Network to strengthen the skills we use every day to support the youth in our care. Ukeru teaches compassionate, trauma-informed approaches that help us respond to challenging situations with safety, respect, and dignity.

A special thank you to Layna Lamons, who has been our trainer for many years. Layna's knowledge, encouragement, and passion for what she does have made a lasting impact on our staff. After all these years, she feels less like a trainer and more like a member of the Evans Home family.

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and growing so we can provide the best possible care for the children we serve. 💙

A huge thank you to the amazing crew from What's New Worship for giving our playhouse a much-needed makeover!

The old shingle roof had seen better days and was desperately in need of replacement. Thanks to their hard work and generosity, our playhouse now has a beautiful new metal roof that will protect it for years to come. They also went above and beyond by replacing several lower boards that had become dry rotted.

Your kindness and willingness to serve make a lasting difference for the children at the Evans Home. Thank you for investing your time, talents, and hearts into making our campus a safer and more enjoyable place for the kids. We are so grateful! ❤️

Every rider helps support the children and teens at the Evans Home, making a lasting difference in their lives with every mile traveled.

Thank you to our incredible organizer and Evans Home alum, Sheila Davis, and to every rider, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who made this event a success. A special thank you to Backseat Bar and Grill for hosting us and the Wi******er Police Department for helping keep everyone safe along the route.

Yesterday's annual Evans Home Dice Run, organized by our incredible alumna Sheila Davis, was another amazing day of support for our children.

Sheila has been a dedicated supporter of the Evans Home for many years, and we truly couldn't ask for a better advocate for our program.

Watching dozens of motorcycles rumble out together with their police es**rt is always a moving sight. It's a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for a great cause.

A special thank you to Backseat Bar and Grill for hosting the event and to the Wi******er Police Department for providing the police es**rt and helping keep everyone safe along the ride.

Variety is the spice of life! 🍝

At the Evans Home, life skills learning takes many forms. Last week, our youth focused on budgeting, finances, and making smart money decisions. This week, we're rolling up our sleeves and learning how to make ravioli completely from scratch!

From measuring ingredients and making pasta dough to preparing fillings and working together in the kitchen, our youth are gaining valuable skills that will serve them well into adulthood. Cooking teaches so much more than preparing a meal—it builds confidence, patience, teamwork, planning, and independence.

Life skills education is an important part of helping our youth prepare for successful futures, and sometimes the best lessons come with a delicious reward at the end!
