This school-year Monday morning has us flashing back to some summer fun at the Frederick County Fair! 🎡🎠

For our kids, experiences like these are about more than just having fun. They’re about trying new things, making memories, laughing together, and simply getting to be kids.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to give our kids these experiences—and for every donor who helps make them possible. ❤️

An Evening with Evans Home Friends is almost here! ❤️

Join us September 24 from 5:30–8:30 PM at Piccadilly's Public House and Restaurant for our biggest fundraiser of the year!

Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner, silent auction, musical entertainment, photo booth, and a great speaker while supporting the children and programs of the Evans Home.

🎟️ Requested donation: $100 per person
🍽️ Reserve a table for 8 for $700

Spend an evening with friends, family, or coworkers while helping us continue to provide a safe, supportive home for the children we serve.

Sometimes the most important things we do aren't the things you see on Facebook. ❤️

They're the everyday moments — a ride to an appointment, a conversation after a hard day, learning to cook a meal, figuring out a first job, celebrating a small success, or simply knowing there is an adult there when you need one.

That's what life at the Evans Home is really about.

Providing a safe place to live is just the beginning. We're here to help our kids build the skills, confidence, and support they need for what comes next. ❤️

A huge thank you to Rylee O'Connor, who spearheaded a school supply and wish list drive for the Evans Home through Frontline Ministry at Liberty Baptist Church!

Thanks to Rylee and everyone who contributed, we received so many of the items currently at the top of our wish list. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and for helping make sure our kids have what they need! ❤️

🌟 Our New Website Is Here! 🌟

We’re excited to officially share our new Evans Home website!

The site has been live for a little while, but the finishing touches are complete and we’re ready to show it off. A huge thank you to Emily at Wildember Marketing for bringing our vision to life. Emily has been fantastic to work with, and we’re so grateful for all the time and care she put into creating a website that truly reflects who we are and the work we do.

This is just the beginning! Over the next few weeks, we’ll also be rolling out our new marketing materials and brochures to better share the Evans Home story, our programs, and the ways our community can get involved.

📚 Back to School at the Evans Home! ✏️

At the Evans Home, our kids’ first priority is to be students.

That means our job is to give them the support they need to focus on school. We help with homework, stay connected with teachers, advocate for IEPs and 504 plans, arrange tutoring when needed, and provide the structure and encouragement to keep moving forward.

For kids who may have experienced instability or interruptions in their education, having consistent support can make a big difference.

We’re ready for another year of learning, growth, challenges, and successes. Here’s to a great school year! ❤️📚

☔ Help Us Keep Our Kids Dry! ☔

We are looking for donations of small, compact umbrellas that our kids can easily carry in their backpacks for unexpected rainy days.

Having an umbrella tucked in their backpack means they’ll always be prepared for rainy walks to and from school, the bus stop, work, or activities.

If you’d like to help, we would greatly appreciate donations of new, small folding umbrellas. ❤️

We're Looking for a Vehicle Donation 🚗❤️

Due to a vehicle accident (everyone is okay!), we are currently down to just our 15-passenger van. While it's perfect for group outings, it's not practical for transporting one or two children to medical appointments, school, counseling, job interviews, and everyday errands around town.

Having a second vehicle would also allow us to be in two places at once—something that's often necessary when caring for children with different schedules and needs.

We are hoping to receive a donated sedan, SUV, or minivan that is safe and reliable. A vehicle donation would make a tremendous difference in helping us provide the individualized support our children need every day.
