A Special Thank You to Those Who Serve — and Those Who Give Back

A very special thank you to the veterans and committee members who worked so hard to bring the Vietnam Traveling Wall to Wi******er last summer. Their dedication, countless hours, and commitment to honoring those who served created a truly meaningful experience for our community.

What makes their efforts even more special is that the money raised through sponsorships for the Wall has continued to give back to our community. Several months ago benches were placed along the walking trail at Wi******er City Park, providing a place to rest, reflect, and enjoy the park.

Today, military branch medallions representing each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces were also placed along the trail as another lasting tribute to the men and women who have served our country.

A special thank you to those who helped with the medallions today, from left to right in group photo:

And a special thank you to Tom Isbell and Amy Dennis, who was there today helping as well, although not in group picture.

What began as a way to honor our Vietnam veterans has become a lasting gift to Wi******er — honoring all who have served while creating something meaningful for generations to come.

Thank you to every veteran, committee member, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this possible. Your service, generosity, and love for this community truly make a difference
