About $224,000 is coming to the Monadnock Region from the 2025 LCHIP awards, announced last week in Concord.

What’s the Buzz??🐝. If you have been following our journey you know that the Town of Wi******er, NH was donated the historic The Wi******er National Bank property and a committee has raised over $40k in fundraising, donations, grants and in kind to get us this far. We won a competitive NH LCHIP grant in the fall and have approval to get the paining, drainage and exterior brickwork restored MJR Painting is leading the work you can see them now working on the building exterior.

What will it be when it is done. Eventuality it will be a welcome center highlighting our history and our current businesses and attractions. Before we can open the building we need to complete the structural repairs and raise money for the heating plumbing and electrical upgrades required.

So many questions 😀. thanks for all the interest. So what is happening?
The Wi******er National Bank is a town owned property. It was donated to the town. There is a town committee dedicated to revitalizing the building and the town common it sits on. We have been working hard on fund raisers, donations and grants to bring life to this property. We have generous donations which are helping up add a granite fence and chain to the property on the 101 side. Shout out to the Wi******er NH Highway department for helping with the work on the property and supporting removing the jersey barriers J Roy Excavating for donating their equipment and operator.

Next up for the Fence Project - after we are cleared from dosage we will have the posts installed

We have about $100k remaining to raise for the building for heating & electric system, water, ada accessibility, wall treatments, floor and restoration to vault door. Then our last focus will be the grounds

did you notice the jersey barriers are gone. Thanks to J Roy Excavating for donating their time and equipment to remove the barriers. We will be adding a granite fence in the next few weeks. Also woodwork restoration is in full swing. Part of the LCHIP grant. Thank you for all your support.
