On Tuesday afternoon July 21, 2026 around 5:09 p.m., the Wi******er Police Department, Wi******er Fire Department, Priority Ambulance Service, and the Franklin County Rescue Squad were dispatched to the area of Tims Ford Lake near the Tims Ford Bass Club for a reported possible drowning. Once responding units arrived, two boaters were able to bring the victim to shore. The victim of the incident was pronounced deceased on the scene. Preliminary statements given advised that the victim's injuries were sustained from a boating incident on Tims Ford Lake. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency was notified and responded immediately. The TWRA is actively investigating the incident.
