🚒 TRAINING FOR TODAY’S VEHICLES 🚒

Yesterday, Chief Myers and FF Buchanan had the opportunity to travel to Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad in Montgomery County, Maryland, for specialized vehicle extrication training in conjunction with the National Auto Body Council.

The training focused on 2017 and newer vehicles, giving participants a closer look at how modern vehicles are constructed and how those changes impact rescue operations. Crews learned and practiced different tactics and techniques used to safely and efficiently extricate patients from newer vehicles.

They also had the opportunity to get hands-on experience with a new lineup of Makita battery-powered extrication tools.

Training like this helps keep our members up to date on evolving vehicle technology and better prepared when seconds count.

A big thank you to Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad and the National Auto Body Council for providing this valuable training opportunity! 🚒🛠️
