🍎 September is Hunger Action Month! 🍎

Every child deserves to have access to healthy, nourishing food. During Hunger Action Month, we’re reminded that food insecurity can affect families in every community—and that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. 💙

This month, consider taking action by donating to a local food pantry, supporting a community food drive, or simply checking in on a neighbor or family who may need a little extra support.

Together, we can help build stronger communities where children and families have what they need to thrive. 🧡

🧡 National Childhood Injury Prevention Week 🧡

Children are curious, active, and always exploring the world around them! This week is a great reminder that many childhood injuries can be prevented with a few simple safety steps. 🚲🪖

From buckling up in the car and wearing helmets while biking to safely storing medications and keeping a close eye on little ones around water, small precautions can make a big difference.

Let’s work together to help children grow, play, and explore safely! 💙

💙 FAQ: Am I Too Old to Become a Foster Parent? 💙

One question we often hear from people interested in fostering is: “Am I too old to become a foster parent?”

The answer? Not necessarily! Many older adults make incredible foster parents and bring valuable life experience, patience, stability, and compassion to children who need a safe and supportive home.

Foster parenting isn’t about age—it’s about your ability to provide:
✨ A safe and nurturing environment
✨ Patience, understanding, and consistency
✨ A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
✨ Support for a child’s needs and relationships

Whether you are an empty nester, retired, or simply have always wanted to make a difference in a child’s life, you may have exactly what a child needs. 🎣 Go fishing at a nearby lake or pond
🚲 Take a family bike ride
📚 Visit your local library for one last summer adventure
🌅 Watch the sunset together
🔥 Roast marshmallows and share your favorite summer memories

✨ National Be an Angel Day ✨

Sometimes, being an angel isn't about having wings—it's about showing up with kindness, compassion, and an open heart.

Every day, foster parents make a difference by offering children a safe place to heal, grow, and simply be kids. They provide stability during uncertain times and remind children that caring adults are always out there.

Today, we're celebrating the everyday angels in our communities—and inviting others to consider how they, too, can make a lasting impact.

📚✏️ Back-to-school season is here!

For many teens, high school brings new classes, new friendships, and dreams for the future. But it can also bring stress, uncertainty, and challenges that no young person should have to face alone.

Every teenager deserves more than a place to sleep—they deserve a safe, supportive home where they can come back after a long day, share their successes and setbacks, and know someone is cheering them on.

Right now, local teens in foster care are waiting for families willing to believe in them, encourage them, and provide the stability they need to thrive.

You don't have to be a perfect parent to make a life-changing difference. You just have to be willing to open your heart and your home.

💙 If you've ever considered fostering, now is the perfect time to learn more. Contact us today at [email protected] to learn how you can become a foster parent.
