These are good folks doing good things to honor our veterans ( past & present ). Some of their Sons of the American Revolution members have supported our FLD event many years. Check out their FB site & consider joining if you think you might have had an ancestor that was involved in the American Revolution.

GMC Sargent Tony Elar ll and Jacob Dean share their vast knowledge of colonial history with members of the public. Jacob always brings a blanket full of cool gear to show & tell with the curious public. Our community attended in good numbers.

The open G.W. Well was quite the sight and the attendees enjoyed the view that was revealed to the public after 100 years of hiding. In the lower photo, yours truly was kept busy during the event exhibiting and explaining some of the artifacts found on the fort site.

I would like to give a shout out to fellow FIWF Board of Directors member & GMC reenactor Erick Moore who made a long drive up to help me support the Morgan Cabin Memorial event today. GMC ranger Malcolm Rogers and wife also enjoyed the Memorial service and tour of the cabin afterwards. Thanks folks.

Good community sharing an interest in their regional colonial history enjoyed the good weather for FLD 2026. The flag raising ceremony is often well attended. In our top photo, Ashby Wratchford portraying a George Mercer Company soldier enlightens the visitors about the rough life a provisional soldier at the fort would have led. Ashby has helped the foundation by making professional informational videos covering aspects of the fort and colonial frontier through his Paladin Media Group. Be sure to check them out when you are in the market for professional video work done for your organization.
