Windber boasts about its strong sense of community pride with the Windber Ramblers every Friday night at the Windber Stadium or its beautiful Down Town area which you will never see empty during the summer and fall months with residents walking. Windber is also p

roud to be the home of the Windber Research Institute which focuses on issues with women’s health, cardiovascular disease and processes with aging. Also, we have the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center which offers full diagnostic services for breast health and disease in one convenient location. Windber isn’t all work all the time, we also have a beautiful Recreation Park where you could play basketball, volleyball, tennis, softball and horseshoes or take a walk/jog around the park or take one of our Nature Trails for a scenic view. Snake Slide, baby pool and don’t worry we have a concession stand if you get hungry. There is so much to say about Windber but you will just have to come and experience it yourself.

Railroad track repair will start at 7th St and work its way over to 17th St. When they reach 17th St, they will complete one half of the tracks at a time to keep the street accessible for all residents.
