Yesterday was an incredible day, and we are honored to have been part of the Northeast Georgia Council, Boy Scouts of America Cub Scout Summer Day Camp.

A special thank you to the Cub Scout leaders, volunteers, parents, and staff whose dedication and hard work created an unforgettable experience for every child in attendance.

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office believes that investing in our youth is one of the most important investments we can make in our community. Seeing so many children engaged, learning, and having fun while developing confidence, leadership, and teamwork was truly rewarding.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of such a meaningful event. We are proud to support programs that positively impact the next generation and help shape future leaders. We look forward to continuing our partnership and creating even more opportunities to connect with the families and youth of our community.

Together, we are building a stronger, safer, and brighter future for Barrow County.

Night Sky Coffee Roasters has invited Sheriff Smith to serve as their special guest reader for children's storytime tomorrow at 10:30 AM. Sheriff Smith will be reading "The Deputy's Promise," and he is looking forward to spending time with the children.

Night Sky Coffee invited us to have an event called Coffee with a Deputy. Citizens talked with us about how we serve and protect, shared stories, and voiced concerns all while enjoying coffee. Some of our deputies were challenged to a friendly game of co****le.

We also made sure the kids were not left out. The kids received gift bags with toys and and the adults were gifted Night Sky wildflower seed packets and gift cards.

You can also find us at the Farmer's Market from 8:30am-12pm every Saturday.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest gratitude to all fallen service members and their families. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends today, let us remember the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor those who gave everything for our nation.

Yesterday, deputies with the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office spent some time out in the community making connections, sharing smiles, and creating positive memories with local families.

Community policing is one of the most important parts of what we do. Whether it’s answering calls, checking on neighborhoods, or simply taking a few moments to interact with children in our community, these relationships help strengthen the bond between the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens we proudly serve every day.
