Welcome to the official Windham, Maine Animal Control page! The goal of this page is to promote responsible pet ownership, increase public awareness of animal-related issues and to provide resources to ensure pets are a positive addition to the community. The Windham Animal Control Officer (ACO) is a full-time employee who is scheduled to work 40 hrs/week. When she is not on-duty, animal-

related calls are handled by officers of the Windham Police Department. This page was not intended as a way to report a crimes or concerns as it is not monitored at all times. Please call 207-892-2525 (answered 24/7) to submit a concern, or to request to speak with the ACO or on-duty police officer. Wildlife problems are handled by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife who can be reached at 207-657-2345. All stray animals picked up by the ACO are then taken to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland located at 449 Stroudwater Street Westbrook, ME. Their telephone number is 207-854-9771. Hello friends
Reminder spring is here and wildlife is on the move and hungry.
Keep your cats inside if you can and dogs on leash and eyes on them when out especially the small dogs .
Keep them safe ..

My heart goes out to Finn's family .

** UPDATE 12/10/24**

We are heartbroken to say Finn was found but did not survive. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family. Thank you to everyone who helped look for Finn over the past weeks.

12.3.24 FINN IS STILL MISSING. Folks in Windham and surrounding towns, please keep an eye out for him as he has traveled several miles. Report any sightings immediately to Jen at 207-272-2110.

** 11/22/24** LOST DOG - WINDHAM, ME

Finn, a neutered brown and white staffordshire pit bull bulldog is missing from his home on Montgomery Road. He is 3 years old, 65 pounds and wearing a collar. He is also wearing an orange fleece with a blank harness. His tag is attached to the harness.

Finn is FRIENDLY - BUT DO NOT CALL OR CHASE HIM. If you see Finn please call Jen at 207-272-2110.
