Last Tuesday, the school and Windom PD hosted a Traffic Safety Day from the MN TZD (Towards Zero Deaths) with all the 9th-12th graders. Through a series of interactive activities they learned the dangers of distracted driving, driving high and drunk driving. Windom Officers, Cottonwood County Deputies and MN State Patrol all assisted with the activities! Our kids were complimented by the event organizers for being the best behaved and engaged group they're had!

Due to the upcoming weather, The city of Windom has declared a snow emergency, effective midnight, Saturday 03/14/26 until noon Monday 03/16/26. The emergency remains in effect until snow noon Monday 03/16/26 or the snow has been cleared from streets and alleys. (Curb to curb)
During a snow emergency, vehicles must remain off city streets and alleys. The public may park in designated public parking lots only, if needed. (See photo) Vehicles parked in streets and alleys will be ticketed and may be towed beginning at midnight.
Any vehicle that is parked in the public parking lots must be removed no later than 6 hours after the end of the snow emergency.

Please remove vehicles sooner than later
