As of Friday, June 5th, the portal is now closed.

Heading into the final months of the Navajo Homeowner Assistance Fund (NHAF), we have made a significant effort to reach as many Navajo homeowners as possible through a carefully crafted communications strategy that included in-person info sessions, Facebook Live Q&A events, digital advertising, and more. Weโ€™re proud of our effort to support as many Navajo homeowners as possible, and will continue these efforts as we approach the program deadline of September 30, 2026.

Although the portal is now closed, if you are a homeowner with a COVID-related financial hardship and are facing foreclosure / eviction, we will accept your application at any time. Please reach out to us at (505) 355-6338.

We may re-open the portal for Mortgage Principal Reduction Assistance ONLY if funds are still available mid-summer. Please check back for updates.

NAVAJO NATION MEMORIAL DAY

The Treaty of 1868 was signed June 1, 1868, ending four years of internment and establishing our government to government relationship with the federal government, which we continue to uphold. Navajo Nation Memorial Day honors the resilience and foresight of our ancestors and the actions they took to ensure our return to nihikeyah with the signing of the treaty. We recognize all our people who carry on our teachings and language to this day.
