Boy, did we miss this group! After a three-week break, we were so happy to welcome back our group of Tuesday regulars yesterday, along with a few special guests...

Sharon Mitchell brought a group from her local chapter of Beta Sigma Phi for a tour (that’s them in the background of the GiGi’s Kitchen), and our good friend Carrie Pothitakis brought a beautiful collection of flowers and small vases to allow everyone to create and take home their own flower arrangement.

What an honor and pleasure it was to be among the 25 area nonprofits and charitable organizations that were awarded a total of $175,000 from Sammons Financial Group Companies this morning. According to Chair of Community Involvement Marcy Baker, “Supporting these great organizations is a source of great pride for us. Together we have been able to make a positive change to the places in which we live and work.”

GiGi’s Playhouse received $5000 to expand the Hands to Harvest program that we launched this past Spring. That’s awesome!

** SOUND ON ** A famous YouTuber called Down syndrome “a glitch.” So here's GiGi Gianni. ​

She sang the national anthem in front of 40,000 people, spoke at the UN on why babies like her deserve to be born, and launched a national speaking tour.​

For 23 years, she's been proving every low expectation wrong, and she's just one of 35,000+ people GiGi's Playhouse serves, free, for life. ​

We're not angry. We're busy. 💛 ​

If you just received a diagnosis and you're scared, we've been waiting for you since 2003. Our programs are offered at no cost. They're forever. No matter what, no matter when. ​

Share this so the next family hears the truth before they hear the fear. ​
