It’s a boy! 💙

Paramedic Amylyn Arel and EMT Katelyn Desmarais assisted in the delivery of a healthy baby boy at home! Both were safely transported to the hospital and are doing well! Thank you Windsor Locks Police Department for the assistance, and congratulations to the family on their newest addition! 💕

Putting on a carnival with fireworks and a parade is a large undertaking and the WLFD thanks everyone who supported us in any way.

🚑☀️ Stay Safe in the Heat! ☀️🚑

Temperatureres are continuing to rise this week, and so does the risk of heat-related illnesses. At Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance, we’re here to remind you to stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay safe this week.

Hydrate Often – Drink plenty of water, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Avoid alcohol and caffeine in extreme heat.

Stay Indoors During Peak Hours – If possible, limit outdoor activity between 11 AM and 4 PM. Use fans, A/C, or cooling cloths to stay comfortable.

Check on Your Neighbors – Children, the elderly, and those with chronic conditions are more susceptible to heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Stay safe out there and take care of one another! ❤️

Our thoughts are with Asst. Chief DeBella’s family, coworkers and friends during this difficult time. Both his passion and dedication were admirable and unwavering. Assistant Chief DeBella was an integral part of the Windsor Locks Fire Department and surrounding community and will be sorely missed.
