It was a meaningful Independence Day for the Windsor Locks America 250th Committee as we had the privilege of taking part in two special events celebrating our nation's history.
At the Connecticut State Capitol, Cheryl Costello-Pelkey proudly represented the Town of Windsor Locks by signing the Recommitment to the Ideals of the Declaration of Independence alongside communities from across the state. Thank you, Cheryl, for representing our town so well!
Back home in Windsor Locks, community members gathered at Town Hall for our annual public reading of the Declaration of Independence. Thank you to everyone who joined us—especially our volunteer readers—for helping bring our nation's founding document to life. It was wonderful to see residents come together to reflect on the words that continue to shape our country.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make both events such a success. As we continue celebrating America's 250th anniversary, we're proud to honor our history while looking ahead to the future together.
