Please help us replace our worn sign and strengthen our community presence

Dear Valued Community Members and Other Interested Parties,

Our volunteer fire department, a proud cornerstone of the Windsor community since 1950 has been dedicated to serving and protecting its residents, their property, and businesses for over 75 years.

Our current sign at 671 South Belfast Road is something many of you see multiple times daily. Unfortunately, as you may have noticed, after many years of service, the sign is now quite deteriorated. A modern and more visible sign is essential for ensuring that our location is clearly identifiable as well as welcoming and notifying residents of upcoming Department events, community announcements, and important public safety messages.

This is more than just a sign—it’s a symbol of our active presence in the community. Replacing it will not only improve our profile and purpose, but also communicate our commitment to a bright future for Windsor.

Our goal is to raise $19,000 for the cost of designing, fabricating, and installing a beautiful modern sign. We plan to use money from our annual fundraisers and community donations to fund this project. We are asking for your support to help us reach this goal.

We are also accepting cash and check donations to go towards the sign which can be mailed to us at: Windsor Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 181, Windsor, ME 04363. We appreciate and thank you in advance for any donation, large or small, which brings us one step closer to our goal. You can also explore our website to view our history, current apparatus, and other information about our department.
