A huge thank you to Banfield Pet Hospital!🐾

Dr. Minkin, Katelyn, Jennifer, Kayla, and Janasia spent the day at our shelter cleaning, and helping care for our animals. They helped deep clean our dog kennels, perform heartworm tests, study f***l samples, perform rabies vaccinations, and much more! They also walked many of our dogs, and performed nail trims and ear cleanings to both dogs and cats.

Their efforts help our animals to feel much more comfortable during their stay at our shelter, as well help prepare them for when they get adopted. We are very appreciative for all that was done today!

We need YOU to foster an adoptable dog!

Take a dog for a night, weekend, or however long you'd like. Totally up to you and your schedule!

Think you can't foster because you work? Think again! Eight hours in a crate (probably asleep) is better than 23 hours in a loud kennel alone 🤷‍♀️

Isle of Wight Animal Services is an open intake shelter. This means that we take in all of the stray animals found in Isle of Wight County, and the owner surrenders from residents within the county

We've had an uptick in stray dogs and currently have a list of people waiting to surrender their pets

We need your help to open kennels by temporarily fostering an adoptable dog!

IOWCAS covers all costs associated with fostering!

This handsome guy is around 3 years old! He is dog friendly! 🐕

Ticky was a little nervous when he first came to Isle of Wight Animal Services but he has really started to come out of his shell! Could he crach on your couch for the weekend?
