THIS IS THE OFFICIAL AGENCY PAGE FOR THE ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES. THE SHELTER IS MANAGED AND OPERATED BY THE ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE. We have dogs and cats of all ages and breeds/mixes available for adoption. Adoptions fees are: $90 for dogs, $75-$95 for cats, and $25 for all other companion animals. The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, vaccines and rabies, along with he

It's National Microchipping Month!

While it doesn't track your pet if they're lost, it does provide your information to get your pet home safely when found!

If you find a lost pet, please take it to a local vet to be scanned for a chip!

Also, check out , there could be a scanning station nearby! 🐾

•We hosted our princess themed event at Summerwind Vineyards in Smithfield, VA 🍷

•D.O.G.'s Spa and Daycare hosted their 2nd annual pet food drive for 🙌🐾

•Lt. Beach attended Adopt-A-Thon, where he met several local vendors including .a.w.s 🐾

What happens when you introduce Mud Flap to kids? She becomes a mud puddle!

Mud Flap had a fabulous time with Officer Brock at career day! She was the perfect ambassador and loved seeing all of the kids! 🐕

Did your kiddo love meeting Mud Flap? Stop by for a visit during regular hours!

Did you know kids can volunteer? Volunteers under 16yo need to be accompanied by an adult, but we have activities for every age and ability!

Mud Flap is around 5yo and 50lbs. She'll be spayed in our care! She came in with itchy skin, but that's been under control with allergy meds!
