Weld RE-4 School District is known for its superior schools and hometown feel. Located in western Weld County, we serve Windsor, Severance, and West Greeley. Our school district serves approximately 8,000 students in nine traditional schools and one charter with three schools. We strive to inspire innovation and empower success for every student in every classroom, through our comprehensive academ

ic programs, as well as International Baccalaureate, project-based learning, and STEM options. At our high schools, students have access to Advanced Placement courses, dual credit, and concurrent enrollment programs. They have the opportunity to explore potential career paths through a variety of programs, such as culinary arts, Future Farmers of America, and industrial design and technology. Across the district, our students have access to a variety of technology tools. Technology is just one of many ways we inspire innovation in our students, who consistently outperform the state average on standardized math and language arts tests. However, when it comes to measures of success, what makes us most proud is the consistent recognition Weld RE-4 students receive in their schools, in our community, and beyond for their academic achievements, creative talents, athletic prowess, and community service. In Weld RE-4, the ultimate evidence of our efforts to empower our students to succeed is our graduation rate, which is among the highest in northern Colorado; 89 percent of our graduates go on to postsecondary education, and 10 percent enter the military or workforce. Weld RE-4 graduates receive United States Military Academy appointments and Boettcher Foundation and Daniels Fund scholarship awards.

CMAS Scores Are Now Online

Weld RE-4 families, preliminary results for CMAS and CoAlt assessments taken this April (grades 3 through 8, and 11) are available to view. You no longer have to wait for paper reports in August.

Here is what you need to know:

🔍 What is Available Now?
Right now, you can view your child's score, performance level, and a performance level description. More detailed breakdowns (including strengths, growth areas, and peer comparisons) will be available on June 15.

💻 How to Access Results
Log in to the Pearson Family Portal and select the "CMAS Spring 2026" box under "Assessments." To log in, you will need your child's legal first name, last name, birth date, and State Student Identifier (SASID).

Where is the SASID? You can find this number by logging into Infinite Campus "Campus Parent" and clicking on your child's Student Profile.

🗓️ CoALT ELA and Math Students
For students taking alternative testing in English Language Arts and Math, scores will release on Monday, June 1. Watch for a separate email with your specific login information.

🧩 One Piece of the Puzzle
Remember, these scores are just one tool to help understand your child's academic journey. We encourage you to look at them alongside classroom grades and teacher feedback for the most complete picture.

Questions? If you need help accessing or understanding the reports, please reach out to Vanessa Gonzales, District Assessment Specialist, at 970-686-8000 x8841 or [email protected].

Windsor High School seniors Zadia Pientka and Trevor Anderson wrapped up meaningful Work-Based Learning placements that gave them experience no classroom could fully provide.

Zadia served as a vital part of the district's communications team. She cultivated her abilities to craft stories, capture events, and step into the role of a true content developer.

Trevor worked alongside the Town of Severance, learning firsthand how local government serves and connects with its residents. With the support of a dedicated mentor, he was able to build real skills in civic engagement, public communication, and community relations.

Both students didn't just observe, they contributed. That's the heart of Work-based Learning: students grow, and the organizations they join are better for having them.

Congratulations, Zadia and Trevor — we can't wait to see what's next!

While we wait for State CDE results, we have some news to share from the Colorado Youth GROW Institute!

For this competition, students conducted deep research and wrote papers proposing real-world solutions to global food insecurity. Windsor High School was represented by:
✨ Addie Nichols
✨ Johnnie Gilbert
✨ Kylie Becker
✨ Shane Donahue
✨ Jayden Warnock

All five of these amazing students received glowing feedback from industry professionals and CSU professors. Addie, Johnnie, Kylie, and Jayden all placed in the TOP 12 out of over 100 students statewide, each earning a $500 scholarship!

We just found out last week that Johnnie Gilbert and Jayden Warnock have been selected to represent the entire state of Colorado at the National GROW Youth Institute in Des Moines, Iowa this October!

Huge shoutout to these students for jumping on board with a "crazy idea" and navigating this new competition together. We could not be more proud of your hard work, innovation, and dedication!

Thank You from Weld RE-4 🇺🇸

Today, the Weld RE-4 School District community joins the nation in observing Memorial Day. We pause to honor, remember, and give thanks for the brave servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

As we reflect on the true meaning of this day, we are incredibly proud to share these moments from the recent patriotic celebrations at Windsor High School and Severance High School. Seeing our students, staff, and community come together to show such profound respect reminds us of the strength of our district.

To our local veterans, our military families, and those who have lost loved ones in service: Thank you. The Weld RE-4 family is deeply grateful for your sacrifice, today and every day.

Have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Meet Jackson Grace (Windsor High School) and Kaylee Platt (Severance High School), two students whose Work-based Learning placements are shaping their futures in remarkable ways.

Jackson, who has his sights set on the U.S. Air Force, gained leadership and communication skills through his placement at MetroLux Theatres. He has a solid transition plan in place with applications to UNC, CSU, and community college.

Kaylee advanced from nutrition interests all the way to direct patient care at Columbine Health Systems in Windsor and this fall she'll study Emergency Medical Services at Aims Community College.

Their stories are a powerful reminder of what's possible when students, schools, and community partners work together.
