Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women

It is with a heavy heart and fond memories that we honor the passing of our cherished friend and indefatigable spirit, Gloria Robinson, who left us last night.

Gloria, a resident of Sonoma County for 55 years and the recipient of the 2022 Trowbridge Award for Lifetime Contribution to the Democratic Party, was actively involved in the Sonoma County Democratic Central Committee and the early "Petaluma Democrats" board. She was an active member of the Democratic Club of Southern Sonoma County and attended meetings as recently as two months ago.

Perhaps most widely known as co-founder of Petaluma Blacks for Community Development, Gloria was also appointed by Helen Putnam to serve on The Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women. She sat on the Board of the Petaluma Health Center, and was a major force in the organizing of Petaluma's Black History Month Celebration each year.

Our thoughts and love go out to her dear family and friends, her neighbors at Youngstown and her community-at-large. We are blessed to have known her.
