Despite the rain, our community showed up yesterday at Windsor Town Hall to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Memorial Day Celebration and for continuing to support our Veterans and their families. Your presence and community spirit made the day especially meaningful. A special thank you to our 2026 Parade Marshall Sergeant Claire Cashwell.

Due to inclement weather, the Memorial Day Observances on Monday, May 25, will be limited to the 10:00 AM Ceremony in Council Chambers at Windsor Town Hall. This also means there will be no parade. We encourage the community to still join us as we honor and remember the brave men and women who sacrificed for our freedom.

Our Parade Marshal is Sergeant Claire Cashwell. Claire Cashwell moved to Windsor in 1961 and graduated from Windsor High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army, where she served in Turkey and Washington state, achieving the rank of Sergeant. After returning to Connecticut, she built a long career in government service, retiring in 2019 with 36 years of combined public service. Today, Claire continues her dedication to veterans as Commander of American Legion Gray-Dickinson Post 59 and a volunteer with the Greater Windsor Veterans Council.
