92 Years.

That's the combined experience of these two fine gentlemen servicing their community on the Windthorst VFD. After 50 years (Charter Member) for Roy and 42 Years for Russell, the have decided to step down from the VFD.

Words cannot express the impact these 2 have made on their community. We want to thank not only them, but their wives, Julie and Judy, their children and grandchildren for supporting them over the years on late night calls or long days on a truck at a grass or structure fire.

Oliver and Mildred raised good boys that turned into great men. Your leadership and dedication to your community is what has made Windthorst, Windthorst.

It's been an honor to serve with you over the years.

Had a good training tonight, big thanks to AirEvac for coming down and demonstrating proper loading techniques. Thank you Cy for letting us land and train in his yard, Arch looked excited to see his first helicopter takeoff!

We added a new tool to our grass firefighting toolbox. These industrial backpack leaf blowers work perfectly to blow out the fire line. Weston Schlumpf and Justin Wolf made quick work of this fire!
