🇺🇸 Military Monday 🇺🇸

As we continue our Military Monday series, Putnam EMS is proud to recognize one of our own veterans, Craig Woods.

Craig served in the United States Army from 1991–1997 as an E-4 Communications Specialist with the 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne).

We are grateful for Craig’s service to our nation and his continued dedication to serving our community. His commitment to helping others exemplifies the values of both military service and emergency medical services.

Today, our crews had a great time participating in Safety Day at West Teays Elementary!

Students had the opportunity to learn about ambulance safety, meet EMS providers, explore our ambulance, and ask lots of great questions. Community education and helping children feel comfortable around first responders is an important part of what we do every day.

A big thank you to the staff and students at West Teays Elementary School for inviting us to be part of such a fun and educational event! 🚑💙

This Memorial Day, Putnam EMS is proud to begin our new “Military Monday” series, where we recognize and honor the veterans and active military members who are part of our EMS family.

Today, we recognize Rob Savage for his service in the United States Army from 1991–1995. Rob served as an Armor Crewman with the 1st Armored Division and 24th Infantry Division.

We are grateful for Rob’s dedication to both our country and our community. Thank you for your service and continued commitment to helping others.

And, of course, thank you to all that have served and sacrificed 🇺🇸❤️

As National EMS Week comes to a close, we pause to honor and remember three members of the Putnam EMS family who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Today, we honor their memory, their service, and the lasting impact they made on Putnam EMS and the people they served.

🚗 Car Seat Safety Clinic
Parents can have their child’s car seat checked for proper installation with help from the Huntington Regional Highway Safety Program, an important step in keeping your child safe on the road.

We’re proud to partner with Putnam County 911 / Emergency Management - WV and Putnam County Fire Service to bring this event to our community.

Bring the kids, meet your local first responders, and learn skills that can help save lives. Help spread the word!
