4th graders learned about various animal adaptations in Science. When talking about camouflage, each student colored a butterfly and hung it somewhere around the room. Mrs. Deaton was then asked to quickly find all 19 butterflies. The 5 or 6 that she didn't find in the allotted time represented the butterflies that would have survived in nature due to their ability to camouflage themselves to match their surroundings.
